Although today’s trek was just 2.5 hours long, it took us through some of the most stunning terrain we have ever seen. Steep mountains rose up around us on every side as our path led us through beautiful valleys full of wild flowers. Wild roses were everywhere! Arriving in the village of Uley, we settled into our guesthouse and then spent some time exploring our host community. There are only a few houses in the tiny village of Uley, so our exploration did not take long.

Returning to the guest house, we spent the remainder of the afternoon playing all manner of games—from card games to camp games. Everyone is adjusting well to our new level of exercise and altitude, and we are having a wonderful time in the mountains.

We will be out of range again for a little while, but have many amazing photos (and of course many more stories) that we are excited to share as soon as we can. Until next time!
